Convocation for the 102nd Batch of Computer trainees  and 41st Batch of Language Trainees at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Shillong

Shillong, November 04, 2023 –

The convocation of the 102nd Batch of Computer Training and the 41st Batch of Language and Communication was held on the 4th of November 2023 at the auditorium of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre at 2 p.m. The event was graced by the presence of Shri B D R Tiwari, Commissioner & Secretary to the Governor and Chief Electoral Officer of the Government of Meghalaya, as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony recognized the outstanding achievements of the students across various categories, with accolades such as Session Toppers, Best Projects, Best Personalities, and the prestigious Computer Gift award. Shri Banjop Kupar Warjri was honored with the Computer Gift Award for successfully completing six courses at the institute.

During his address, Dr. Tiwari emphasized the significant contributions of the Ramakrishna Mission to society, the city, and the state. He expressed his delight at being in the presence of these young minds, who represent the future of the country.

Br Vairagyachaitanya Maharaj, Director-Academics at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, provided statistical insights into the session's results. Approximately 1170 students were enrolled, and an impressive 860 students achieved certificates of merit. He welcomed all attendees in his opening address and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors. He encouraged students to take advantage of the organization's services, particularly the advanced computer courses.
The academic toppers were announced as follows:
    • Computer-Beginner: Ms. Iarilang Lyngdoh Nonglait
    • Computer-Intermediate: Ms. Alvareen Lyngdoh Nongbet
    • Computer-Accounting: Ms. Ruchita Chakraborty
    • DTP (Part I): Arvind Deka
    • Other expert-level courses: Mr. Neshit Kuri

Shri Robertson Thangkhiew and Smt. Sophia Katrai, representing the teaching staff, congratulated all students and urged them to continue their pursuit of knowledge, highlighting the vast digital world available for exploration.

Swami Divyaswarupananda Maharaj, the Centre-In-Charge, expressed words of gratitude and acknowledged the efforts of the teachers that ensured the smooth certification process. He also emphasized Swami Vivekananda's significant contributions to society and urged current students to carry forward his legacy of values and excellence.
The event also featured engaging glimpses of the current session, providing an enriching experience for all attendees.
